How much does a platform stairlift cost?
Since every staircase is different, the cost of a platform stairlift can only be precisely determined once we know the shape of the staircase. That’s why it’s important to receive a video or photos of it. General considerations include:
- Is the installation indoors or outdoors?
- Is the staircase straight or curved? How many curves are needed?
- How long is the staircase? How many floors need to be served?
- Can the rail be attached directly to the wall or to freestanding posts?
As a general rule, prices for a platform stairlift, including delivery and installation, start at approximately €9,000 for a simple straight staircase.

Yes, we offer free, no-obligation quotes as part of our service. To provide you with an accurate quote, please provide us with information about your staircase. Sending photos, a video, or a sketch of the staircase is sufficient.
Can your platform stairlifts transport electric wheelchairs?
Yes! Lehner Lifttechnik platform lifts typically have a load capacity of up to 300kg and a maximum platform size of 900x1300mm. Therefore, our lifts can definitely transport all types of electric wheelchairs.
What is the delivery time for a stairlift?
Since it is a custom-made product, the production time depends on the complexity of the lift. Generally, straight lifts can be completed within 2 weeks, while the production of curved lifts can take approximately 5 weeks.
How long does stairlift installation usually take?
The installation of a platform stairlift for straight staircases usually takes 5-8 hours, depending on the type of fastening.
Can the rail be manufactured in different colors?
With our powder coating facility, we can paint the rail in any color. Optionally, we can also deliver the rails with a natural aluminum or a shiny, high-quality stainless steel finish!
Can people without wheelchairs also use the lift?
Anyone can be transported with our stairlifts. For people without wheelchairs, a folding chair can be provided. Therefore, a platform stairlift is a better alternative to a conventional seated stairlift. The lift can be used for transporting groceries or luggage along with the passenger!

How does a platform stairlift work?
The Delta stairlift is powered by onboard batteries that drive a 24V DC motor. The batteries are automatically charged at each stop.
What is the lifespan of a platform stairlift?
Depending on usage and maintenance intervals, the average lifespan of a lift can be stated as 25 years.
How is the lift controlled?
The platform is equipped with up and down buttons, as well as an emergency stop and alarm button. A wireless control station is provided for each stop (these are either wall-mounted or portable) to call and send the lift from the stops.
Are your platform stairlifts suitable for outdoor installation?
All our lifts are easily installed outdoors. For outdoor stairlifts, we galvanize the metal parts, supply parts made of stainless steel or aluminum, and provide a special cover to protect the platform from severe weather conditions when it is parked during periods of non-use.
